Attorney Geetter is licensed to practice law in Connecticut at the state and federal district court levels. Melissa graduated from State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Melissa attended The University of Connecticut School of Law during which she was an Executive Editor of the Connecticut Law Review, and served as a Legal intern for The Honorable Dominic J. Squatrito of the United States District Court, District of Connecticut.
After receiving her juris doctorate Melissa joined Sullivan, Schoen, Campane & Connon, LLC, a small boutique firm, primarily representing Boards of Education and Municipalities in matters of labor, employment, and education law. In 2000, Melissa joined Gordon, Muir in Foley, LLP, with a focus on the defense and litigation of personal injury and employment related matters. Melissa became an associate at the law firm of Siegel, O’Connor, O’Donnel & Beck, P.C. in 2006, where she represented clients in employment and business related matters. Melissa served as General Counsel for Keystone Equipment Finance Corp. starting in 2013, where she oversaw the company’s general legal matters, specifically in the areas of commercial equipment finance and leasing, bankruptcy, and actions for repossession of equipment and the collection of bad debt.
Melissa joined Butler, Norris & Gold in 2017, with a primary focus on business law, commercial real estate, finance and leasing, as well as the litigation of personal injury matters.
Melissa is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.
