Bethany L. Phillips

Bethany Phillips practices in the area of criminal defense in both the state and federal courts.  She represents individuals accused of a wide range of offenses, from DUI, larceny, narcotics offenses, robbery, and sexual assaults.

She previously served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Fifth Judicial Circuit in Florida, where she prosecuted hundreds of cases.  During her career as a prosecutor, she was recruited by the Judges in her county to be their Staff Attorney, where she served for over one year before heading into private practice.

Ms. Phillips received her B.S. from the University of Connecticut and her juris doctor from Quinnipiac College School of Law.  She is an active member of the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association.  She was also appointed by the United States District Court to serve on the Criminal Justice Act Panel.  She is admitted to practice in the state courts in Connecticut, New York, and Florida.  She is also admitted to practice in the federal courts in the District of Connecticut.
